Pluto

I can’t tell you about Pluto without first mentioning my soul dog, Rosie. A Golden Retriever, she was my main girl. We lost her in May of 2023. Growing up on a farm, I thought I was immune to losing an animal. Boy, was I wrong. We got Rosie right before our wedding, and she walked us through the birth of our two boys and every major milestone for ten years.

After she passed, I swore I’d never get another dog. But the boys wore me down, and along came Pluto. He is a Goldador—half Golden, half Lab. We thought he would be the perfect blend. Instead, he gives off major Marley & Me vibes. Honestly, it feels like having three boys because he and the kids get into so much mischief together.

We brought Pluto home right before making our biggest life change yet. Whenever we share our RV travel plans, people always assume the dog is staying behind. But Pluto is absolutely coming, and I am certain he is going to make this journey unforgettable.
